Nebraska Nepalese Society Assisted Covid -19 Impacted Families in Nebraska and Neighboring States – (March through December 2020).

  • Given the international and national events surrounding Covid-19 and the informal and travel restrictions imposed by it, Nebraska Nepalese Society implemented a plan to help patients who ran out of their medications of their chronic conditions. Dr. Subash Baniya, PharmaD coordinated with Himalayan Health Care Providers during covid and Nebraska Medicine with telehealth visited for refills of the medications. We are successful to offer free medication/prescription to parents and families’ visitors from Nepal, and over 12 families benefited from this service. Thank you Dr. Subash Baniya for your outstanding co-ordination and unfailing support to Nebraska Nepalese Society.
  • Nebraska Nepalese Society Founder and Business Owner of Jaipur Restaurant, Mr. Gyanendra Bhandari offered the help and gestures of kindness by willing to provide free food and lunches to the Covid-19 impacted patients and their families. Quite a few families benefited from this offer. Thank you Gyanendra Bhandari for this generosity.
  • Covid -19 and Associated Consultation and Counseling Offered to Needy Families – Our Nebraska Nepalese Society Advisor and President of ASK Foundation Mr. Sunil Acharya provided the needy community members with the consultation and counseling as precautionary education/guidance. Over a dozen families were benefited with this service. Thank you, Sunil Acharya, for your continuous support to Nebraska Nepalese Society.
  • Over 400 pieces’ fabric cloth free masks distributed – With our leading initiative of our Vice President – Bishnu Pun Adhikari, Nebraska Nepalese Society distributed over 400 pieces of fabric cloth free masks to the community members up to including neighboring states. A big shout out to Bishnu Pun Adhikari, our Vice President.
